When it comes to décor, especially larger pieces of furniture or wall coverings – less can be more.
I know I sound like a broken record, but you really will find that you can get a lot more longevity out of your space by sticking to a neutral palette for some of your larger, investment pieces and adding pops of colour via accessories and artwork.
That said, there is no reason why a bold wallpaper can’t be a great way to add a personal touch to a room, as well as add some character into your space in the form of a statement/focal wall.
But, maybe you’re finding it hard to commit to a pattern. Although striking a balance between print and colour can be a challenging task at times, the answer to your wallpaper woes can be as simple as black and white.
If you find yourself in love with a bold print or whimsical pattern, don’t simply dismiss it as being “too much” for your home. See if it comes in a neutral palette or in black and white. This is a great way to make a bold design appear far less intrusive, while still maintaining the appeal that attracted you to it in the first place.
