Your child’s bedroom should be a place that sparks their imagination. It should be a room they can go to to be themselves, be creative, be anything they want. More importantly, it should feel like “their” room, especially when changing things up and reinventing what used to be their nursery. The step into a “big” boy/girl room is a big one for them.
So, what better way to personal their new digs than decorate it themselves. As crazy as it sounds, take your wee one with you when buying items from their bedroom. If taking them isn’t an option, set aside some time to sit down with them in front of the computer and get them looking at rooms and product and telling you what they like.
If like me, and creativity is what you’d like your kids to get out of their space, these five fabulous prints will do just that. I wish I had them in my room growing up.
Note: If you are daring enough to do this for your kid, let me first congratulate you, as you are are an awesome parent. Secondly, as this is no small undertaking, take it easy on yourself – one feature wall is enough.
