It is not news that I have a passion for local and handmade goods.

It is also not news that my son has a love of bow ties, something you would have most definitely noticed  if you follow any of my social feeds.

So, when a fellow blogger launched Ele and Ela, incredible stylish handmade baby bibs, teethers and women’s accessories after having a baby, I was over the moon.

The designer prints are hand selected and absolutely adorable, featuring everything from watermelons to roosters. All fabrics are 100% organic cotton, have been prewashed in eco-friendly detergent and preshrunk. Products made in a smoke-free and pet-free home.

Although I don’t have a need for bibs anymore, my son got to test drive the shop’s first foray into toddler accesories. Take a look, but I warn, prepare for utter cuteness.

Meet the Creator:

While on maternity leave Monica decided to take up sewing. She bought herself a Brother sewing machine on sale, some designer fabric and started making bandana bibs for her little boy, as she was tired of searching for bibs that didn’t look typical “baby.” Her friends loved the look and thus Ele and Ela was created. The name means “He and She” in Portuguese.
